With Platinum Repairs being part of Apple’s Independent Repair Provider program, we use software provided by Apple to calibrate devices after a repair has been completed. For the software to work as intended, the device has to meet these criteria:
- Device has to be reset to factory default settings.
- Any iCloud accounts linked to the device has to be removed or signed out.
The above mentioned is not only to protect your personal data, but it is to ensure that we are able to complete your assessment/repair as quickly and efficiently as possible. We recommend backing up your data via iTunes, or iCloud before resetting the device to factory settings, and signing out of any iCloud accounts that are linked to the device. Platinum Repairs will not be held liable for any form of data loss during assessment or repair of your device.
For iPhone 11 and newer models that require repairs, will have to be collected via courier/driver or dropped off at our offices due to the complexity of the repair.
