All data on the device will be erased and the device may be destroyed or recycled. This is to comply with the POPI Act, to prevent any personal information to be obtained by any third party without prior consent from the client. The service provider and GuardRisk cannot be held liable for any data that has been erased from any device once it has been deemed to be beyond economical repair. Sufficient backups of data on the device should be made before being sent to the service provider. In the event that the device can not be backed up before being sent to the service provider, an arrangement will have to be made with the service provider to attempt a data recovery on behalf of the client.
